Know God, make friends, find support for your life.

The basis of all we are doing is the love of God manifested through the death of Jesus Christ for our sins and His resurrection to give us eternal life.

Suggestions. Take time to greet each other and to meet any new people. Share coffee and dessert while you are having the “lesson.”

Part 1. Sunday’s message was based on 1 Corinthians 10, and it addressed the topic of idolatry.

  1. Examples of modern idolatry: Hinduism, New Age, talking to the dead, and talking to extraterrestrials
  2. According to 1 Corinthians 10, Christ will judge those “Christians” who practice idolatry
  3. Jesus is the God of the Old Testament: He is the Rock.

Part 2. Read the following questions. After reading them, allow the participants who wish to respond to answer the questions they wish to answer in the order they wish to answer them.

In what way is the was this Sunday’s message relevant to the people of God and to the follower of Christ? What relevance does this message have for your life, your relationship with God, and your service to God?

Part 3. Read the following questions. After reading them, allow the participants who wish to respond to answer the questions they wish to answer in the order they wish to answer them. The rest can respond to the participants or pray for them as the Spirit of Christ* guides them. (*In other words, their responses mus be compatible with the doctrine of Christ)

From Deuteronomy 32:4, 15, 39, we can deduce that God is our Rock because He is just, righteous, faithful, perfect, our Savior and the only true God. Therefore, we trust Him.

  • Have you made Jesus the rock of your life? Why?
  • How does Jesus being your rock impact your life?
  • How have we experienced that Jesus is our Rock?
  • What must we do to continue being faithful to Jesus, our Rock?

Part 4.

What challenges or difficulties are you facing in your life? ¿How is this situation getting worse or better? What do you believe God expects of you through this situation? What do you need from God?

Parte 5. As the Holy Spirit guides you, take turns to pray for the ministry of the church and the needs of its members.

  • ¿What does the ministry of our church need?
  • What needs are the members in our church experiencing?
  • What does our church need (or seek) from God?
